We all love our cars but there’s some stuff that will always be annoying no matter how in love we are. One of those things? Loose header bolts. In many cases it is kind of a fight to get the headers fitted and locked down in the first place so when you have to keep checking the bolts every few weeks or months to make sure they are tight and that you are not going to blow gaskets out because they’re loose, it can get old. Mr. Gasket’s HeadLock header bolts eliminate the need for lock washers when installing header exhaust. Instead, the innovative patent pending design incorporates 24 serrated teeth into the flanged hex/socket head, each equally spaced, designed to grip and lock onto the header flange, maintaining consistent fastener clamp-load.
In addition, the new header bolts also incorporate a unique Thread-Lock Patch that provides positive thread engagement. The Thread-Lock Patch is also chemical resistant, reusable and provides positive thread seal, resists engine heat cycling and vibration that often loosens conventional header bolts.
