Ridetech’s New C2 And C3 Corvette Suspension Systems Were A Big Hit At PRI 2014

A few months ago we told you that Ridetech was now offering a complete bolt in suspension system for C2 and C3 Corvettes, and included some installation videos and a cool new commercial that they had made saying they love Corvettes, but for many of the racers and builders at PRI 2014 this was their first look, and it was a good one. With tubular upper and lower control arms, new taller spindles, custom steering arms and True Turn system, along with either Ridetech Forged Monotube Coil Overs or Shockwaves, Ridetech’s new front system is a completely tunable and adjustable system that is impressive.

Out back a pair of ultra trick laser cut and welded trailing arms not only bring a lot more strength to the party than the stock GM parts, but also a significant increase in wheel and tire clearance. Fully adjustable lower links, a tubular upper crossmember, and several shock choices give all the adjustability you need to match the front.

Ridetech Corvette Suspension System 003There were lots of people hanging around the Ridetech booth each and every day of the show, checking out the parts and asking questions, and we had to come in early just to get these few photos. While talking to a couple of guys about the system, while roaming the isles, we also heard a rumor that former NASCAR Great Rusty Wallace was on hand asking the Ridetech guys some questions as he races a C3 Corvette of his own.

    That’s kind of disappointing, I like the rear suspension, but they still retain the driveshafts as a loaded, suspension members. The issue with that is it pulls the differential case apart under high loads, thus screwing with your limited slip. It also wears the snot out of the half shafts…

    No rack and pinion for the front suspension? that’s surprising too.
