There’s no denying the red hot nature of the diesel performance world these days. Not only are bolt on parts huge, performance engine builds are becoming way more commonplace and because of that, advanced power levels are also becoming the norm as well. If you machine a stock piston to make it more performance oriented by say removing material from the crown or adding valve pockets for the performance cam you are adding, you have fundamentally changed the design of that part and not in a way any engineer ever conceived.
