Sometimes something gets revealed/introduced at SEMA and you just know it is going to have an impact on the industry. We stumbled upon one of those very things yesterday at the Holley booth where they are debuting a raft of new products but the one that really spun our crank is the company’s new Sniper EFI system that is priced at $999 and requires the owner of it to hook up four wires in order to make it function.
Not that there aren’t enough awesome options on the market for electronic fuel injection but this one strikes us as a game changer. The price, the simplicity, the fact that it was designed in order to be installed in pairs on manifolds designed for dual carbs all add up to something that the market has been clamoring for over the last several years. While the price is certainly higher than a basic carb, it is not out of the realm of a higher foot performance carb at all. Oh, and what kind of power will it support? Plenty of it. 600 for one and 1200 if you want to run double.
The ECU is mounted right to the unit like other popular options, the fuel pressure regulator is integrated into the unit, the thing is self learning and uses a small color touchscreen to help the user set it up and tweak on it, and it is available in base and master kits depending on how much stuff you want included for the install. We’re going to have LOTS more information on this system in the coming days and weeks but until then, check out the photos below and oogle the brand new Holley Sniper EFI. Under $1,000!
I just fell out of my chair. I. Need. This!
This looks and sounds just like the FITech EFI system already available.
When you look at $500 for a Dynamic EFI setup for tuning my Chevy TBI, this starts to look pretty good.
Hopefully, the $999 is just the list price and we’ll see them for 2-300 less. That’s what it would take for me to actually consider one.
really wish someone would make an EFI setup that bolts right on to a Q-jet intake….
looks like an exact copy of the fitech unit, and only 600 hp? fitech makes a 600 and 1200 hp version. stop ripping off other peoples stuff holley!
Fitech=powerjection=crap!!
I have replaced every moving part on my powerjection with less than 500 miles on it. total Junk!
Absolutely not true. There is no affiliation with Powerjection. I should know! I designed the software and electronics for FiTech!
Powerjection is another holley product that they shovelled down are throats, had problems with mine and holley was no help. I ended up buying an edelbrock carb after wasting money on the powerjection, which now resides on a shelf in my garage, expensive lessons learned, don’t spend money on holley products. I feel for the owner of the fuel pump.
Someone needs to make a Dominator version of one of these to support 1000hp+
yes !
I was gonna buy a FiTech unit and now this thing pops up! Makes me wonder if the internals are comparable…
I was going th chase down the parts to put efi on the Cobra R motor in my Bronco.I guess I’ll just call Summit.
summitracing.com doesnt list it yet …….
i wish they made a 2 barrel version so I dont have to switch intake manifolds
I wonder if its Marine Rated?
Can I run 116 octane or alcohol through that system on a four cylinder Pinto motor pumping 16 to 1 compression
I wonder if I can run it upside down?
This just looks like a cheap imitation of the FiTech unit I run on my car pretty pathetic on their part to try and replicate it that closely I guess if you can’t beat em just rob them
You be the judge !

F*ck holley with the garbage they produce, I’m on the receiving end of getting screwed on a holley 12-1400 fuel pump that failed, 4 months old. Called them up, told me I shouldn’t run pump gas (no mention of that in the instructions ), or they aren’t good in warm climates, unreal! I won’t buy another holley product ever, as they don’t stand behind what they sell. Good luck with this copied pos!
Seems to be a new version of the Professional products unit, projection 111, is their latest EFI bolt on, self learning unit.
“brains” are in the carb like unit, so a minimum of wires to run. I bolted one on last year & after answering a few questions- # of cylinders, HP/tork, etc, start5ed right up, coughed a couple of times on first drive but, ran perfect & still is. Mind you, it was around 12-1400 bucks so,even if this is a copy, its a cheap one,eh!
I am looking for the base fitech 400 HP unit for a swap on to my 1993 suburban need more info. no help from jeggs or summit
