BangShift Submission Spotlight: Scott Bouwens’ 10-second 1966 Olds Cutlass

We get A LOT of content submissions from folks all over the world, with cool video links, show coverage, and story ideas each and every week, which helps us shape the content on BangShift. But one of the things we really love to see are photos of your cars at home. This week we decided to highlight one in particular because Scott sent us a photo of his Cutlass after seeing one that’s nearly identical in Newell Ruggles Cruisin’ La Verne Holiday Car Show pics from earlier in the week.

Here is what Scott sent us, along with a picture of his ’66.

Hi guys. You posted a photo recently of an orange, blown ’67 cutlass. I attached a photo of its near twin- this is my ’66- I have had this car since I was 17….20 years ago. Spent 4 years building it. It’s one year older and the motor is all under the hood (pump gas N/A 496 chevy…runs mid 10s on a 10″ slick), but the cars are dang near identical…I even have a black pinstripe on the body….in the same exact place! Id love to get ahold of the person who owns this car and show them my pic. Thanks!

No, Thank You Scott. We’d drive the hell out yours for sure. 10’s on a 10 inch tire is the real deal in a real street car.

Nice looking car! We recently built a naturally aspirated Olds 455 that went into a 1964 F85. That car on 9″ tires ran a 10.22 first time out. Pretty amazing for a real Olds engine.

Mid 10’s on 10-inch tires, normally aspirated, is pretty good.

I’d like to find the supplier of the paint that makes the rollbar/cage invisible…
