To say that Wally and the rest of the build team are excited about getting an invitation to the Optima Batteries Ultimate Street Car Invitational would be the understatement of the year! After a great initial start to the Holley LSFest, where the car debuted, a small problem arose with the rear end. Specifically the ring and pinion which decided they didn’t like each other anymore. Next week you are going to see more stuff that went into the car on it’s way to LSFest, and then what has been done since in preparation for the Optima Batteries Ultimate Street Car Invitational. Until then, this is all about the fact that the team has made it in.

Once the Wally’s World GTO reaches the SEMA show it will be on display in the OPTIMA car corral with most of the other competitors. If you want to check them out, SEMA entry is not required as they will be in the Silver Lot outside the Las Vegas Convention Center on display for the world to see. Wally’s World Project Manager and Builder Bruce Raymond, of Raymond/Norris Performance, will be behind the wheel during competition which means that he’s the lucky one that gets to enjoy this ultra modified GTO first.

The OPTIMA Ultimate Street Car Invitational will be run at Spring Mountain Motorsports Ranch in Pahrump Nevada on Saturday November 9th, and tickets spectator tickets are limited so get yours now.
