Project Update Video: Jason Lewis’s Viper V10 Maverick Project Moves Closer to Completion

Jason Lewis is a crazy talented video guy and he’s also a hard core hot rodder. A while back, we showed you a unique and very cool project car he was building, which is an old Ford Maverick with a Viper V10 in the front of it. There has been tons of metal fabrication and work done to get the motor into the car and brace up the sub-frame and chassis. Jason has done all of the welding, fabrication, and other metal work himself and from the looks of this video, the man has some skills!

Previously, we have only seen the car sitting on the ground, but here, the Maverick goes up on a lift and we’re able to see the full extent of the work Jason has done to the underside of the Mav. To say that the man has burned some rod on this thing would be a massive understatement! From our view, he has done a killer job on strengthening the car, installing the rear and and suspension, and getting the large by huge Viper V10 and T56 transmission to fit a car that it never should be able to fit into.

Lewis was able to put the car in Mike Fennel’s hot rod shop to have both Fennel and Jamey Smith (two experienced car builders/hot rodders) go over his work to spot any very obviously design flaws or areas that need attention. It seems like those two guys are impressed with this rig as much as us! Lewis’s videos are always great and this is another to add to the pile. It will rule all when this car is up and shredding tires!
