Racing Junk Find: A 1933 Ford Dump Truck That Proves We’re Not As Weird As We Think We Are

Racing Junk Find: A 1933 Ford Dump Truck That Proves We’re Not As Weird As We Think We Are

If we knew the guy who commissioned the building of this totally awesome 1933 Ford dump truck racer, we’d give him a bear hug. Why? Because it proves that we’re not the total freak job weirdos that we thought we were before seeing this baby. Someone else is as twisted as us! Look at this thing! It nearly brought us to tears and speechlessness because it is so totally cool.

The seller does not state what the truck runs but will include a 468ci big block and a blown 509 to run in the front of the truck. In the photo below, with the truck pulling the monster wheel-stand, it looks to have the blown 509-cuber in there. Noted chassis builder Jeffers Pro Cars constructed the truck, which does have an actual dump bed, albeit filled with a mound of fake dirt.

There is a lot of tire under the back of the truck and there’s something else back there. A Missouri license plate is mounted on the back of the dump bed. That means this truck is freaking street legal. We’d be swapping on a big set of Mickey Thompson Sportsman Pros to go cruising the streets with though. Rolling down the highway on those monster slicks would be hairy!

We’re itching to buy this thing, put the BangShift logo on the sideboards and take it on Drag Week 2011. We’ve seen some wacky stuff, but this truck takes the cake. We bow to the badder-asser-ness of the hot rod dump truck and the dementia of the owner who commissioned it. OOOGA BOOGA!
