Resto of NASCAR 1965 Impala Proceeds at Amazing Pace

We admire guys who take on a project and then really get after it. They have the car blown apart within a week and progress gets made on a day to day basis. That’s a skill set we haven’t perfected yet as our stuff moves at a glacial pace. The awesome 1965 Impala NASCAR racer eBay find we told you about in June is nearly back into running order. This baby is going to be a looker too!

In a mere 17 days, current owner Shaun Coleman has taken the car from a rusty, crummy looking garage dweller to a virtually complete car. The whole thing has been restored and currently there is an artist slapping the lettering on the car to make it match perfectly.

The mighty 427 and M22 rock crusher transmission have been freshened, painted, and installed into the car, but have not been fired as of yet. Shaun promises video when that deed goes down.

Hit the link below to see the car come back into the condition that Roy Mayne and Tom Hunter raced it in. This ol’ girl is a real looker!
