The fine dudes and dudettes at Rocket Racing Wheels have announced that they are expanding their popular Igniter series of wheels by offering 16″ diameter versions of the popular design and offering those larger diameter hoops in three popular bolt pattern sizes. We dig the fact that they are rolling out 16″ diameter Igniters because there are lots of people out there who don’t want to go into a 17″ or 18″ wheel dude to fitment, looks, or tire price options, so a 16″ is a great option to allow for a well proportioned wheel on an older car. There are still good performance tire options left in 16″ wheel sizes, too so if the car is going to be put through the paces on an autocross course, at the drags, or like these wheels hark back to, the salt flats, you’ll be in good shape.

There are several different ways to get your Igniters as well. They come in polished, as cast, or with a grey painted center and machined outer ring (our favorite!). We also dig them with the knock-off style center cap. It is a classic look that fits street machines, hot rods, muscle trucks, and any car that looks the business with respect to high performance! These new sizes will be available this summer! If you are getting to that point in your build that wheels are on the table, take a look at these Igniters. They look great and perform ever better!

Rocket Igniter Series

The Rocket Igniter features traditional 5-window kidney bean Salt Flats style centers and an old school traditional outer lip.

The Igniter Series wheels are precision-crafted cast A356 aluminum and topped off with a vintage style aluminum o-ring center cap. The Rocket Igniter is available in Fully Polished, Full Satin “As Cast”, as well as with Gray Painted Centers with Machined Outers.
