Snap-On Tools Made The 48 Hour Corvette Build Possible – This Video Is An Awesome Look At Them In Action

If you are a car guy (and we know that you are) tools are a subject near and dear to your heart. You love the best ones you have and tell horror stories about junk that you have bought over the years that failed you at the worst possible moment. Professionals and backyard wrenches alike share these memories and feelings. When it comes to tool brands, Snap-On has a reputation for innovation and reliability that all others are jealous of. The big build team for the 48-Hour Corvette project needed the best tools they could and the biggest variety possible so when it came time to talk to a supplier, Snap-On was the first call and the only call they made. The result? A Corvette that recently cleaned house at the Goodguys event in Texas and kicking off a racing career that is sure to be long, fruitful, and full of wins.

This is a cool video made with footage from the build that shows the crew doing everything from torquing bolts to pulling the car apart and they have Snap-On tools in their hands the whole time. Not one failure, not one broken tool, not one instance of someone being left high and dry when they needed something the most. That’s what you pay for when you buy tools and that’s what Snap-On has stood for since its founding in 1920.

All them high tool co. like Snap-On, Mac, Matco are beyond most budgets of backyard mechanics. I do own a few Snap-On tools but most are just Craftsman tools.

They could have started with any old mundane C3, but no they had to screw up a rare and valuable LT1

Awesome job, but without the Ballard Brothers and Snap-On tools it wouldn’t have gone so well. They know their stuff, their dad Jim Ballard was my crew chief on my fuel dragster back in the 70’s. Nice job guys.
