(Words and photos by Tommy Lee Byrd) -Earlier this year, Tommy Lee Byrd provided a gallery of photos from the Spring Pigeon Forge Rod Run (formerly known as the Grand Run). The awesome turnout of hot rods, gassers and just plain weird vehicles had us wanting more, and TLB just happened to schedule his anniversary vacation around the fall Pigeon Forge Rod Run this year. His wife was thrilled.

Before we dig too deep into the craziness of this event, let’s provide a quick rundown of this event. The actual “car show” part of this event only consists of about 100 cars. It’s still a cool show, but that’s not a good enough reason to stay in Pigeon Forge, Tennessee for the weekend. The real reason is the six-lane road through Pigeon Forge, which offers optimal cruising conditions. Every single parking lot down the strip is overloaded with hot rods, muscle cars, drag cars, crazy trucks and more.

Ok, so let’s be straight to the point here. There are lots of cool cars and trucks in this gallery, but here are the craziest of the crazy: Superbird Pro Mod, Crazy Impala station wagon rat rod thing, Bugatti Veyron parked at the frozen yogurt joint, Honda Civic hatchback with a full custom tube frame and 454 LSX engine, Pro street Pacer. Among these crazies are a bunch of killer machines from one end of town to the other….you just need to check out the gallery to seem them all.
