Tune In: Live Streaming Drag Racing This Weekend From NMCA/NMRA Georgia

Our buddy Mark Walter will be on the scene this weekend in Commerce, Georgia to live stream the NMCA/NMRA event that will be happening today through Sunday. Lots of racers are towing in from around the country to run at this deal so the viewing and action should be top notch. Commerce, GA – Atlanta Dragway in Commerce, Georgia, will be the host of the 4th Annual Nitto Tire NMRA/NMCA All Star Nationals, the second stop on the NMCA schedule, over the weekend of April 12-15, 2012. Last year was the first time this event was held at Atlanta Dragway, and the result was a resounding success.
The facility is located in the perfect place, with close-by hotels and restaurants, and the track surface always hooks. Named ‘Georgia’s House of Speed’, the Atlanta Dragway staff takes pride in making their facility live up to its name, and the NMCA’s racers look for that consistency on the racetrack as a result. In fact, ARP Nostalgia Pro Street race Dave Beeson muscled his nitrous-assisted Camaro to a 7.175 at over 197 mph at this event to set both ends of the class record!

Jud Massingill also set the ERL Performance LSX All Motor ET record at this stop last year, carding an 8.217 to stop the clocks. The centrally-located track also has all of the amenities – close-by hotels, restaurants, and even outlet mall shopping.

All of the NMCA’s classes will be in competition at this event, with a few of them combined with the corresponding NMRA classes as they were in 2011. There will be a little bit of everything here in Georgia, from the newly-enlarged Mean Street class (which absorbed the NMRA’s Pure Street racers) to the Kooks Pro Street racers, who last season snuck into the five-second range on occasion.

Racers like Chris Rini and Bill Lutz will be on the property in Commerce competing for points towards the NMCA’s championship – you need to be there to see them battle it out!

Catch all the action on www.motormaniatv.com starting Friday at noon with round 1 of qualifying
