Ford and Rankin reveal the new 2015 Mustang, with a little help from Sienna Miller. The styling on the new Mustang has been polarizing, after a very public but unauthorized leak of photos from the newest issue of AutoWeek magazine, and has Mustang and automotive enthusiasts in general arguing over the merits of each and every design element on it. We haven’t even gotten into available powerplants, performance numbers, or performance packages yet and this new Ford is still the talk of the town.
We’re on the fence ourselves with regards to the styling, but what we want to know is whether or not having a hot chick with an English accent showing you all the right bulges makes you want to buy one more?

This does not change a thing. The car is still butt ugly, she’s not that hot, and that song sucks! This is the 2015 model, so Ford is planning to hype this thing for all of 2014. That should mean that sales of the 2014 Stangs should really suck. I’m sure Chevy is just fine with that prospect.

mate, I LOVE my Fords….and I’d have a new Camaro any day of the week over this. Dunno if you had them in the US, but we got a front wheel drive Hyundai here a few years ago called the Tiburon? I think Ford left one on the photocopier when they spat this out. This wont be spanking anything except itself….

I don’t like the new design at all. Ford missed the mark. It looks like a Mazda. Being a Camaro and Corvette owner and hugger, a fact that might have been missed is that Camaro has outsold Mustang again this year. I like the first generation Mustangs. The Fox Body although not a thing of beauty can be a monster on the strip and I respect that. In my opinion this new design is like what Ford did when they jumped to the Mustang II in the 70’s. There are still enough tried and true Mustang fans that will buy the new one and keep the model alive.

The proportions look all wrong now. I liked the Mustang with it’s original retro fastback design when it came out in ’06 or ’07. But, the more they do to and add to it for the performance models, the less I’ve liked it. I got to drive an ’08 GT 5 spd, track pak car, press car and liked it.
Don’t get me started on the corporate grille and general shape of the car.

I like it, the original Mustang had an international flair and was designed to appeal to a young audience, and it worked. I’m sure at the time it was poo-pooed by old farts who thought the only place for valves was in the block and styling peaked in the 30’s. Now Ford is doing exactly what it needs to do, making an muscle car that will appeal to the younger crowd, and it’s getting poo-pooed by old farts (both calendar old and mentality old) who think that a Mustang has to look like a s ’68. I prefer old iron, but I am saddened that we have run out of good styling ideas and have to keep going back to the “retro well” and that we get so butt hurt when anything new is tried.
Time to stop living in the past.
Ford has this car ready for the future.
I grew up in a Ford dealership from the mid 80’s on. I have seen em all, my favorite has always been the 87-93, but ive gotta say, this new one is bad. Cant wait to see one lowered. Give em a chance guys!
