We’re usually bringing you videos of stuff wrecking, exploding, and generally self-destructing on the drag strip. Today, for this brief shining moment, we’re going uptown, kids! The guys at V8TV Europe tipped us off to their newest video entitled, “Combustion”. They took footage from the European Mopar Nationals held at Santa Pod Raceway in England, set it to a classical sounding score and edited their best stuff together.
The video is shot in HD and highly stylized. Give it a watch and tell us what you think. At first we were waiting for the engine sounds and regular speed footage to kick up, but they never did. After knowing that we should be more keyed into the artistic elements of the film, we enjoyed it more. So there’s your leg up. Watch this film not for the elapsed times or cackle, but for the pure theater of drag racing!

that was nice. that song .. the first thing I used it for was a boxer animation some years ago. hahaha. The 3 minutes on was great, the ending was cool too. To see the mass of an old dodge thrashed like a rag doll, to a sound that could echo a mile.. it is not fascinating. It shows how mijusticed we all are today.
