Crash And Burn: Take A 40ft Drop Off The Side Of The Road With This British Motorcyclist

This is cringeworthy. A guy ridge-running a Kawasaki ZX6R somewhere in Britain is filming his run. He’s moving pretty well along when he meets a corner a bit sharper than he was expecting. Either the front end washes out and understeers or he didn’t lean far enough into the curve, but he finds himself in the wrong lane looking at the business end of a Honda Accord. If he rolls left he risks laying it down and sliding for a bit. If he goes right he lands in the grass…eventually, after a small fence “trips” the bike and sends our rider rolling for what seems like a hundred times.

The fact that this guy stood up, grabbed his helmet with the camera attached and hiked right back up the side of the hill is impressive. Hopefully this off-road excursion will be the only time that he exceeds his skill level on a public road. Press play below and get ready to wince.

Looks like the camera came off the helmet for the tumble, but still not a ride I care to go on!

Looks like either (1) he was trying to use the entire road width, and hadn’t expected any oncoming traffic, or (2) target fixation. Glad to see the rider survived to learn a lesson from that, and with some footage so others can learn from his mistakes with a bit less pain.

silly bugger…lucky to walk away from that mess. Not so much the tumble but if he froze and hit the Honda…
