“Skinny Mike” Schwartz went for one hell of a ride at the 2014 Time Machine Nationals at Great Lakes Dragway in Wisconsin. Don Besch filmed the accident, and according to him, during Schwartz’s matchup with Mike Johnson, rain had just started to fall, which caused Schwartz’s front-engined digger, one claimed to be a former Chris “The Greek” Karamesines car, to start spinning on the track like a drunk ballerina. Though he fights tooth and nail to avoid it, he ends up tapping the left side of the track before skipping across to the other side. Luckily the damage appears to be repairable, which is a testament to Schwartz’s driving skills, as it could have gone a lot worse fast.

Hey that’s the grove. Can’t complain about a track that is dedicated to being open 6 days a week and has nitro 2-3 times a year. Cool to see a home town track that I grew up around getting attention! Not to mention the place was packed
mike got out ok, but the car was bent up. I was 2 pairs behind him when it happened. He scared a few of us.
I like how they left out that he hit water that a rain cloud dumped on the big end and no one checked the track. The grove is a piss poor maintenanced track and has absolutely no groove for any dragster. Only people who like the track are guys with street cars. Hard to junk ur 13 second fox body.
