We love playing the Would You Rather game around here, and after seeing some cool old movies that are playing on cable this holiday weekend, it got us thinking about car chases. Specifically the car chases in the Bourne Identity and Bourne Supremacy movies. In Bourne Identity, Matt Damon hauls ass through Paris behind the wheel of a classic Mini Cooper, and takes it places most people wouldn’t believe it could go. In Bourne Supremacy, Matt Damon is behind the wheel of a Russian taxi cab that he drives with the same reckless abandon most people claim to use when driving rental cars. If only we could.
We’ve got video from both chases below, so take a look at them and see what you think. We’d like to do both, but if you had to choose which car chase you’d rather be in, which one would it be? I prefer the Boure Supremacy chase. That old Volga taxi takes a royal beating and keeps on going. Plus it’s rare to see a Mercedes G-Wagen get wielded like a battering ram.
The chase from Ultimatum was pretty cool too, especially when he flips the Audi off the Port Authority roof.
Have to agree about the taxi chase, damn that car took a beating!
