Evil Little Sleeper: 728 WHP out of a Camry

Is there a car any less BangShift-y than a mid-1990’s Toyota Camry? These things are all over the place, at best have a 3.0L V6 humming out 185 hp, and are a perfect example of a reliable-but-boring commuter car. You could park one in a mall lot and seriously risk losing your car.

In other words, they’re perfect sleeper material.

This silver sedan was built by Dynomotorsports in Canada, is still sporting the 3VZ-FE V6, but with a new intake, new heads, new exhaust manifolds, and one absolutely huge HKS turbo. No idea how much boost this thing is pushing, but the numbers don’t lie: 728 hp@7410rpm and 516 ft/lb torque at 7406rpm, out of the front wheels. We have no idea what transmission, if any, Toyota made that can live for long behind that kind of power and we’re absolutely certain that the torque steer would scare anyone, period. But if those two items are dialed in, and this thing can put the power to the ground, nobody would see it coming.

Press play below and listen to a Camry that was tricked into thinking it was a Supra.
