Jeff Gordon Scares The Life Out Of A Used Car Salesman – Greatest Video Ever

Jeff Gordon Scares The Life Out Of A Used Car Salesman – Greatest Video Ever

(Today, we’re reposting the 10-most viewed blogs we’ve published so far in 2013. The infamous Jeff Gordon video is right on the top of the list!) This is the greatest video ever. Jeff Gordon in disguise as a middle aged, mini-van driving car buyer takes a used car salesman out on the ride of his life in a new Camaro. The salesman goes ape-bleep as Gordon slides, jumps, and spins the car like a lunatic on the ride. The dude’s face and reaction are genuine as he has no idea what’s up until the end. Boy is he pissed until he finds out what was going on. This is HILARIOUS!

Oh man this hilarious, that poor salesman… “you’re an idiot, I’m gonna kill you” LOL
My stomach hurts. I’ve been dreaming of doing something similar forever.

Sorry. I have to totally agree. There’s no large corporation that would open itself up to an enormous lawsuit which would be easily won, and be a black mark against the company. 1 in a 1000 “real” people would actually be okay with a thrill like that, the other 999 would sue for the ole’ “mental distress and anguish” let-alone the endangering of their life. Law suit would pay 100 times what a paid actor would make doing this clip. It’s as fake as they get. Just because the actors all play along as if it’s real, doesn’t make it real.

Kyle Busch did a commercial like that with a Toyota Prius but it didnt have the same kind of shock and awe as this one and never went public

cool vid, wonder if the salesman was in on it, or signed up after the fact. We probably will never know.

    1. Doc

His boss was probably on it, the salesman, I don’t think so. It looks pretty legit, he’s probably seen other weirdos who see themselves as nascar drivers.

  5. Anthony

Might have been a little set up but that guy was scared shitless. He didnt know what the hell was going on.

  6. Bobby J

I think the guy really was in the dark, but they spliced in much wilder driving. Guy could’ve had a heart attack and Pepsi would own him. Great fun though.

I Can’t remember when I have laughed this hard. I keep hitting the wrong key because I cannot stop laughing. I respected Jeff Gordan before because I am a major NASCAR fan, but he is also an excellent stunt driver. I bet he laughed until tears came out his eyes too. I love it.

It says 09 on the windshield. This model of Camaro didn’t come out until 2010. If you are going to make a fake video at least do a little research first.

  8. Joe

This is a staged commercial. They should have done some research to at least try to make it a little more convincing. Here are some issues. Sticker says 09. This model of Camaro started in 2010. Inside on the dash board you can see the Chevy Mylink screen. This was not an option until the 2013 model. He put the coke can in a cup holder that doesnt exist in that car. And why would you test drive the 300 HP V6 model instead of the 426 HP V8 ?

  9. Edward Chesher

Here I thought I was going to be the first to comment on the “09” Camaro, and a few posts above, others caught it. Also, while the car appears to be a V6 model on the outside, it sure sounds like a V8 on the test drive. Didn’t pick up on the cup holders or Mylink. Guess some folks REALLY know their Camaros.

The dealership I use to work at let customers test drive cars without the salesmen with them.

This was so funny I about fell out of my chair laughing. Good driving Jeff!! I would of had heart failure.

Fake–there is no such thing as a 2009 Camaro people, that is your first clue. First new Camaro was a 2010 model.

  13. Doug

Car has a “mylink” screen, not an option until 2013. Reports are everyone, salesman included, were actors and a stunt driver, not Jeff Gordon, did most of the driving on film.

  14. JROb

Should’ve had Ken Block do the driving. On second thought NO, Ken Block would be charged with MansLaughter after killing the salesman. Good choice with Jeff G. J.Rob

You should pay attention and look a little closer… the Camaro is NOT ’09’ year, its Number 09 on the lot, and the next vehicle beside it is Number 10, and then Number 11. This is clearly a method that this Dealership displays its vehicles.

  16. dee bee

Fake. How else did they get the camera in the car to watch the salesman’s reactions? Obviously he knew what was going on.

  17. al

Does seem contrived hmmm. Call the Cops ,Why? A Chev. Cruze was the only other car on the space, which could be all off highway, public, road, sorry , like the 09 ,how much.

  18. Linda Argabright

Call me a stick in the mud but I think “funny” pranks like this are mean spirited. Who thinks it’s funny to scare someone half to death and then laugh at his discomfort and fear? Then to add insult to injury the poor target is on camera and forced have a good sense of humor about it or he will be the one who looks bad. Shame on you!

  19. noel

Anonymous is spot on! The 09 is NOT the year of the Camaro. You cynics! Great video, I have’nt laughed as much in a long time. Bring on more. We all need more laughs during the current recession.

Great driving and looked like allot of fun, but staged, I think the parking lot at the dealership was perhaps real enough, but out on the road, no, to many variables even for a skilled driver such as Jeff Gordon, some of the other comments noted discrepancies in the equipment in the car. And what is the thing with the cup holder on the dash, obviously obstructing vision and would never get approved. Think a few wild doughnuts in the parking lot would certainly get the desired responces from the salesman, everything else staged. Reminds me of being 18 just out of high school, spotted a 426 Hemi Roadrunner, shopping with dad for a grad gift, we took it out for a test drive, no salesman, just me and dad, I wanted the car real bad, so I am driving very responsibly, dad has me stop on a side street we talk about the car and how nice it is. Dad says lets go, and punch it, I only half punched it, still put you back in the seat, Dad says no, no, no stop. I did and he said “I said punch it. So I did, smoking the tires, that Hemi roaring, jammed it into second, then third, dad says thats enough, head back to the dealership. Dad was somewhat of a car guy and impressed I could tell. When we got back, I asked if I could get this one, imagining the envy of all of my friends. Dad says NO, You will kill your self, ended up with a very tame Rally Nova, in line six, though it did have manual three speed. Dad may have been right. Too much car of a young pup like me.
