Drag racing, even at the amateur level, isn’t as easy as it looks. Hitting the gas and driving a straight line for a quarter mile can present it’s challenges, and most of them are at the starting line. The proper launch is absolutely critical for any racer to achieve success, and when racing a motorcycle, that becomes even more crucial, because unlike a car, the bike will do it’s best to kill you. It takes seasoned racers lots of practice to find the right combination of revs, traction and weight transfer that’s needed to safely launch a bike off of the line. And apparently this guy missed every opportunity to figure out what those words even mean.

I don’t have a lot of info on what’s going on here, other than it’s taking place somewhere in Europe. The BMW driver launches the sedan well, with a hint of wheelspin right off of the line before feeding in full throttle. As for the bike guy…well, just click below and see for yourself.
