Messing With The Meter Maid 101: Park A 1977 Evel Knievel Indycar At An Expired Meter!

Messing With The Meter Maid 101: Park A 1977 Evel Knievel Indycar At An Expired Meter!

The parking meter, oh how we loathe thee. Paying for the privilege of parking the car is an annoyance…it used to be that if you didn’t have change, that you were plumb out of luck, but nowadays, with credit and debit card readers, no matter what you do, if four wheels enter that parking space, you are hosed, my friend, and it’s time to pay the piper. But there is one thing that’s worse than the meter: the overzealous meter maid. Yes, their job sucks…they spend their days writing out tickets for people whose meter is expired, be it by a minute or a day, stuck in some horrid little car.

The guys at Donut Media recently decided to give their local overzealous parking monitors something to think about, in the form of a real-deal Indycar parked at an expired meter. It wasn’t like the meter maids could have missed it: not only was the red flag up in the meter, there was this low-slung, winged mechanical marvel drawing selfie-taking crowds. She’s hell-bent on drawing up a ticket, but watch as she tries to fill out the form. Some days, it’s the little things that entertain you, and for the guys at Donut, this prank had to provide some solid laughter.
