Morning Symphony: An R33 Nissan Skyline Tearing Around A Mountain Pass

Blame Gran Turismo for my fascination with this car. The Nissan Skyline is the ultimate “forbidden fruit” car from Japan for me, and it’s all due to that damn game. It was the car to have, and to this day non-car people even know the significance that this two-door coupe has to the world of the gearhead. While the Skyline has been in production since 1957, before the merger of Nissan and Prince, there’s really only five generations that hold a dear place in many hearts: the Hakosuka (C10, 1968-72), the Kenmeri (C110, 1972-77), the R32 (1989-91), R33 (1993-98) and the R34 (1999-2005). I personally prefer the R33, and I honestly couldn’t tell you why except that I like the shape of the car. Ok, maybe the four-wheel-drive system, the four-wheel steering, and the RB26DETT inline-six help matters out some. Footage like this sliding trip through the mountains, captured by 19Bozzy92, don’t help out this automotive infatuation. That looks like too much fun!
