A Suzuki GSX-R 1000 is a literbike that is best left to professionals and people who physically resemble the typical horse jockey. When it comes to the title of “King of the Crotch-Rockets”, the Gixxer is right up there at the top. So, knowing that the bike can easily flip you off the seat with the grace and ease of Bruce Lee whipping your ass, it only makes sense to modify the beast to make it faster, right?

The beautiful thing about crotch-rockets in general is that even in their most tame form, they rev to the moon with purpose. So, stuffing a turbo onto a Gixxer should make things interesting, right? Of course it does. This particular one is being huffed on with 13 PSI of pressure to make 272 hp, 151 ft/lb…numbers that would be interesting in a small sports car that weighs four times as much as the bike. Plenty of attention to detail to the engine, suspension and drivetrain, for sure. The poor tach…well, not so much. A recommendation? When your engine spins up faster than the heart rate of a squirrel that found Charlie Sheen’s cocaine, you might want to go digital.
