Racing Carnage: R32 Golf Tries To Drive Through a Honda S2000 At Nurburgring

Racing Carnage: R32 Golf Tries To Drive Through a Honda S2000 At Nurburgring

Utilization of  the Nurburgring Nordschliefe, Rule 3: Vehicles must drive on the right, in particular when overtaken, on crests, in bends or in case of breakdown.

Regulations of Vehicle Speed on the Nurburgring Nordschliefe, Rule 1: At all times, you will maintain complete control of your vehicle, no matter the speed you drive at, as per German Highway Code, Article 3, Section 1.

Any takers as to how deep in trouble the owner of this particular VW Golf R32 is in, then? During a high-speed run on the track the R32 closed up quick on a slower Honda S2000 that was all the way over to the right. Panic braking ensued, and the inevitable crunching noises and screaming tires pretty much tell you what happened next. Each rule violation: About €50, or approximately $65 in U.S. dollars, as well as being on the hook for all of the damages. And you can pretty much bet that the track officials will ban him for life.

Which might be a relatively short time if the Honda guy gets out of the car.

Man I miss the Ring. Honestly incompetent drivers are not the norm. Lots of people go off but are able to recover. The VW driver went off a little and then lost it instead of executing a clean pass.
