Roadkill! After Off-Roading A Lowrider Monte Carlo, Freiburger and Finnegan’s Chiropractors Become Rich!

Roadkill! After Off-Roading A Lowrider Monte Carlo, Freiburger and Finnegan’s Chiropractors Become Rich!

Of all of the cars one would have expected Roadkill to feature, a pea-green 1980 Chevrolet Monte Carlo lowrider didn’t make the list. Finnegan doesn’t really bring his mini-truck past into the picture that often and the Freiburger seems to prefer his Monte Carlos a little…oh, I don’t know…faster. But the premise for this episode was the perfect storm for this disaster to happen: Finnegan got to design the trip while Freiburger picked the car. David’s off-road kick is well known (I actually first read his writing in 4 Wheel and Off-Road magazine in the as a kid in the early 1990s) so Mike decides to cave in to a dream trip: an all-off-road trip from Los Angeles to Las Vegas. Freiburger, on the other hand, figured that Finnegan wouldn’t be into an off-road trip and purchased the lowrider…then promptly blew a hydraulic line trying to figure out how to make the Monte move. The laughter is contagious, from the reveal, to the fires and burned-up equipment, to Finnegan putting the Monte into three-wheel motion before DF was ready for it. You have to feel sorry for their spines, however…some of that looked painful, guys.
