Roadkill: Watch Freiburger And Finnegan Take On The Subaru Legacy

Roadkill: Watch Freiburger And Finnegan Take On The Subaru Legacy

Subaru of America decided that the best car to use to take on two of the more twisted minds in automotive journalism was their Legacy sedan. Not the WRX. Not the STi. The Legacy. They believed their basic sedan had enough in it to whoop up on whatever the Roadkill guys had to offer. They challenged Freiburger and Finnegan to a three-race event, where the Subaru entry would be a Legacy sedan and the Roadkill entry was up to the team. For the challenges, they break out the Raunchero (with new motor), the Rotsun (with newly freshened motor), and the General Mayhem Charger (with upgraded suspension.)

There’s everything in this episode: a rally course, a rodeo stadium, a creepy-ass abandoned town and The Dog. The Roadkill cars sound snottier than ever…I could listen to the Charger’s exhaust note for hours…and there’s a side bet going on: in addition to the Roadkill pride, whichever one of the two wins the most driving competitions loses some hair: both the hair on DF’s head and Finnegan’s beard are in the danger zone. And I believe this is the longest episode of Roadkill at 46:17, so sit back, relax and enjoy!

Oh, and about those loaner Legacys…I don’t think Subaru expected what they put them through.

When it comes to offroading, it’s pretty hard to beat Subaru. But, even though the General Mayhem lost, it looked and sounded kickass doing so

Entertaining as all hell. I figured they’d have Subaru guys driving the Subaru, but nope. They should of let the instructor guy drive the General Mayhem too, lol.

Yeah, I was surprised at the lack of Subaru people. Cool that Subaru is a fan of the show though. And I bet the instructor would have put the General through it’s paces

Subaru makes great cars, and apparently their marketing department has a great since of humor. I love it!

That looked like it was just great fun!!!!
It’s sad every time I see GAFB on TV now.

Possibly the worst thing ever placed on the internet.

Keep it up and watch your sponsors disappear unless their target prospects are lunkheads and dipshits.

Doubtful that segment is out shopping for new Subarus.

Finnegan did some major league drifting in the Charger. Impressed with his driving skill. Freiburger is no slouch either. Wasn’t impressed by obvious informercial for Suburu.

You have to take it for what it was at face value. Subaru threw some cash and cars at DF & Finnegan to get their products in front of a population segment they normally wouldn’t have. And I think that we all predicted the outcome as soon as we heard the idea. However, I was impressed with how close some of the races were.

What they should have done is put the studded tired from the Raunchero on the General Mayhem for the rallye race, I think that would have been a lot closer!!

Hey I have a Subaru Legacy and now I like it all the better since its kinda BS approved (is it?) and I look at BS every day so Im the target audience.IT WORKED!

    So much fun.

I kinda wish we’d seen the Charger with some decent dirt tires on it though. Probably still would’ve lost, but it might have been a lot closer.
