Rock Racing At Bikini Bottoms: Nasty Hillclimbs And Drivers Fighting Their Way To The Top!

If there is any great equalizer for a rock bouncer on a hill climb, it’s mud. Not the chunky, sticks to everything mud, but that slimy layer that really screws up traction and turns an otherwise straightforward hill climb into a terrifying choose-your-own-adventure run…that’s the one. Dyersburg, Tennessee, home of Bikini Bottoms Off-Road Park, has has plenty of Spring rainfall come down, so when the Southern Rock Racing Series came through for their second Southern Regional race, the racers found themselves looking up at a very, very sketchy climb. Not only was the mud, roots and rocks going to play hell with traction, but you’ll see the concrete flats that give already-slippery tires something else to not grab ahold of, plus divots that were great for entrapping a wheel or stopping momentum. That doesn’t mean that the drivers decided to pass…far from it! Rock bouncers will hammer down on just about anything that stands in their way, so even with the odds stacked far against them, they lined up, pointed the nose of their rigs to the hill, took a deep breath and stomped on the loud pedal for what it was worth! Busted Knuckle Films was on hand to capture the carnage action as rig after rig took a run to be king of the hill!
