The Parting Shift: John Coughlin’s C/Super Modified Cobalt Making Big Music and Small Elapsed Times at Beech Bend

Competition Eliminator is a place that brainy and wealthy people race with machines that seem to define the laws of physics. Take this awesome video of John Coughlin ripping off a run at an NHRA Divisional at Beech Bend Raceway. This little car with a little small block and a single four barrel on gasoline is capable of bottom eight second runs.

Of all the dozens of classes that are enclosed in Competition Eliminator the Super Modified classes are amongst our favorites because the cars are all amazing, the engines like to sing great songs, and manual transmissions are the rule of the day.

Crank the hell out of your speakers and listen to one of the most insane small blocks in the country go to work in Bowling Green! OOGA BOOGA!
