This Dashcam Caught The Moment A Truck Fell Off Of A Ramp And Into The Middle Of Traffic In Canada

It doesn’t take much to startle drivers on a busy motorway. If an animal darts into traffic, drivers saw the wheel like they were setting up for a drift entry, which tends to really mess with other drivers nearby. So imagine what would happen if a 18-wheeler just happened to fall into the middle of rush-hour traffic? That happened in Toronto, Canada when the driver of this rig entered the ramp way too fast, broke through the concrete barrier and fell into the middle of afternoon traffic on Highway 401. Investigators determined that nothing was wrong with the tractor or trailer of the truck. The driver was taken to a nearby hospital for minor injuries, and his record is being reviewed by authorities, who haven’t charged the driver as of press time.

While the authorities are rightly focused on the driver, has anybody checked up on the welfare of the other people who were around when the truck landed on the highway? We’re willing to bet that the driver of the Sprinter in the video had a “Code Brown” moment to deal with.

Looks like the Sprinter guy had some lightning-quick reflexes from the slow motion video – he’s on the brakes pretty much the instant the truck hits the rails.

You guys are quick, this happened Monday March 23, 2015 and you’re airing it here on Wednesday March 25, 2015. I was wondering if there was any videos of this when I saw the news, too.
