Video of the Week: Our Christmas Wish

Video of the Week: Our Christmas Wish

This week we take you to the Green Mountain state via YouTube. We’re going to a place that we’ve actually been to and shot a load of video at for “the site of which we do not speak.” Due to its shuttering, that video will never see the light of day.

The next best thing to our stuff is this video tour, of Bruce Cliché’s musclecar “collection” in East Calais, Vermont. The whole shebang, all 800 or so cars and hundreds of thousands of parts, is for sale. Bruce has a couple dozen school buses packed floor to ceiling with stuff. One in particular is filled with Muncie crashboxes. At last check the price was somewhere in the $1.5 million range, which, having been there, is one hell of a bargain.

Chad, Freiburger, and I pooled our collective resources and came up with enough for a Happy Meal and a Coke. We wrote a couple letters to Santa, but it seems that this is one Christmas present we’re not getting this year (much to the relief of our wives and significant others).

This video, a compilation of still photos from Bruce’s place does it some measure of justice, but it is stunning in every sense of the word to see it in person. One note of caution though: do not get the bright idea of trying to sneak in. Bruce is a great guy, but his pack of six pissed-off German Shepards wouldn’t leave enough forensic evidence of you for even the CSI team from television to work with.

East Calais is about four hours north of Boston and we’re pretty sure the whole place is under a couple feet of snow at this time of the year, but if you’ve got some cashola stuffed in the mattress, call Bruce and make him an offer. It will keep you busy for the rest of your life.

Freiburger and Chad broke their asses moving 42 cars….imagine moving all this stuff!
