Watching A BMW E30 Drift Through A Lovely Autumn Scene Is The Perfect Farewell To Warm Autumn Weather

Yes, I know that winter, technically, is five weeks away. But I’m not bothered about that. As I’m writing this, the awesome Indian summer that BangShift Mid-West has experienced this year is coming to a close in a sudden and abrupt fashion. After spending spring and the early part of summer at flood stage, we were rewarded for our patience out here with beautiful sunny days, temperatures in the 70s, and some of the most beautiful scenery you could ask for. I’m a summer kind of guy, but I can appreciate rolling hills in all of the Autumn colors. That ends tonight, and starts the cold stretch of Autumn: frost-coated cars in the morning, ice-cold floors in the house, and a sudden and dramatic desire to do all of my driving on the Xbox instead of outdoors. Call me a whiner if you want…Lohnes will, for sure…but I am not a fan of cold. Not one bit.

That being said, seeing colored leaves and rolling, curving roads on the way back from last weekend’s race immediately made me think of the words “autumn drift”, and when typed into YouTube’s search bar, you are rewarded with this quick clip of a Toyota-powered BMW hanging it out on what we suspect is a hillclimb route. If you still have a warm day or two ahead of you, go out and enjoy it!
