Wild Rolling Wreckage Video: A Vintage Road Racer is Saved From Certain Death By a Good Cage

A couple weeks back we showed you video of a replica Shelby Cobra racer cheating death when his car rolled. That guy did not have any sort of roll cage protection around him, but the guy in this video does. The wrecks are eerily similar in the fact that a rear end failure caused them, they were both violent roll overs, and the racers were totally along for the ride. In the faux Cobra wreck, the driver did not have arm restraints on and he came amazingly close to losing his arms when the machine went barrel rolling.

While this is certainly scary and a ride that we’d never want to take, the driver in this car was very well protected by the roll cage. You’ll see the car hanging off the back of a wrecker heading back to the pits nearing the end of this video and the main hoop and down bars show no signs of failure or movement. The driver in this car was able to hang onto the wheel, but even is he lost his grip, the arm restrains he has on would have prevented his limbs from flailing outside of the car.

We are not sure what brand of camera he had running on this car, but it was one tough little bastard as it recorded the entire ordeal without giving up!

Cinch your belts, press play, and HOLD ON!

Hi Rick just watched the video of the stalled aggressive horse , And i must tell you how much i agree with you on the reasons for the horses being aggressive, Ahorse must be a horse and be with other horses out in a field, I personally do not stall any of my horses, unless it is a medical issue that they have to be stalled, And my horses all have there place in the herd and do really well together because they can be a horse with others\ Stalled horses are not the way for a horse to live they do need to be with other horses to learn to have the manners and temperment of a horse first before they can be a friend under saddle to us

I wonder if the smoke from the car in front of him is indicative of what caused the wreck (oiled the track at the corner)
