Another day, another small tire insanity video! Our buddy Mark Walter was at Holly Springs Drag Strip last weekend filming their famed Shootout race. During one round of X275 action, racer Shane Fischer got his Mustang hooked to the strip like freaking velcro and the front end started climbing to the sky.The single turbo Mustang acts like all of these wild turbo machines act and despite a pedal job, the car won’t settle would back to Earth. This wouldn’t be a problem aside from the fact that drag strips have walls and Fischer’s car, while on two wheels is headed for one.

At the last second, Fischer dumps the throttle, the car lands and gets sideways in the marbles next to the wall. Instantly, the Mustang changes direction heading for a center punch shot on the opposite wall. With the parachute out and as much gusto as he can muster, Fischer manages to keep the car from a high speed meeting with the concrete in the shutdown area. As you’ll notice, when the thing crosses the track it is on three wheels. The passenger rear slick is completely off the ground!

While Fischer may have lost the round, he won the larger battle of having a car to race next weekend!
