You’re Doing It Wrong: News Reporter Gets On-Air Lesson On The Proper Use Of An Ice Scraper

Ever find yourself in a situation where you simply don’t know what’s going on, have no idea what to do and are expected to act? At some point in time you might have heard the phrase “fake it until you make it”, and for Frances Wang of KREM 2, a Spokane, Washington CBS affiliate, faking it meant knowing how to properly use the ice scraper on the end of a snow brush. Ms. Wang is originally from the Los Angeles area, where the only snow scraping around involves a paper cup and a flavored syrup. Kudos to her for giving it a great attempt, but when she takes the scraper to the hood of an unsuspecting Econoline upside-down, the anchors at the desk decide it’s time for an intervention.

She appears to take the lesson in stride, but one has to wonder if there were some words shared off-camera later. Ah well, lesson learned?

She did handle the incident really well.
It sounded like the folks at the desk were doing their best to be constructive and not critical, too.
