(Words and photos by Doug Gregory) – Shelby’s Speed and Kustom is at the center of the Hullaballoo event.  Located on Contract St. in Lexington, KY.  The mission of the shop is ‘to give people in Central Kentucky and extending areas a shop they can trust to get general customizing and fabrication labor done. We don’t want to just sell parts or be exclusive, we want to be known as the place to go if you don’t want to get beat.’

Unfortunately Shelby Cain was lost to suicide in 2009 and the efforts of the shop today are to carry on with his dream and a tradition of ‘a job well done’.  We plan to go back to the shop and shoot a feature of the goings-on and see for ourselves the kind of work they turn out.
