(Photos by Wes Allison) We’ve still got tons of photos coming over the next several days from Bonneville Speed Week, but this is our last gallery from the Saturday night Nugget Car Show in Wendover. If you come to Bonneville to hang out over the first weekend, you’ll be on-site at the Nugget on Saturday night to check out some of the coolest hot rods and old-school race cars ever. In fact, there are a lot of cars that make their debut at the Nugget and many folks drive their cars out on the salt each day of the event. The salt is nasty, so I’m surprised they do it, but it sure is cool to see them all Saturday night and some with salt all over them. Bonneville Speed Week 2021 is on with cars, trucks, streamliners, lakesters, and more hauling ass on the salt at Bonneville. But no Bonneville Speed Week is really complete without the Nugget Car Show that kicks off Friday night and gets HUGE on Saturday night. It is THE place to see and be seen and everyone is there even if they have only come to Bonneville for the first few days of Speed Week. It’s a great place to enjoy a beer or several, with service from the Nugget Casino and a bunch of really bitchin rides all around it. And everyone is on hand telling stories of the first full day of Speed Week and it just can’t be explained unless you go. But we’ve got all the photos and have split them into two galleries of the Saturday Nugget Show so here is the first one and we’ll have more tomorrow too! This year promises to be an amazing year at Bonneville with all kinds of new cars making their debut and some old cars coming back out for the first time in years. Plus, the piston engine and wheel-driven all-time records are being aimed at with everything people can throw at them this year. We’ll see how the salt is, but we’re hoping for some big things this year at Bonneville.

As we said, we’ll have tons of them coming throughout the week as we have Wes Allison on-site to shoot everything he can point a camera at. We’re going to make sure you have all the photos you could want and will be bringing you at least one gallery of Bonneville photos per day.
