(Photos by Cole Reynolds) I’ve been to Pike’s Peak International Raceway a couple of times and can tell you that it is one hell of a facility. Cole went for the recent Optima Ultimate Street Car Invitational and took all kinds of photos to share with you. We dig the track, the staff, and everything about it. This is one place that you have to get to if you are into car racing. We’ve got Pro Touring machines of all kinds on the track, in the pits, and more. This is a race that has a big variety and no matter what kind of handling machine you are into you will find it here.

Of course the best of the best showed up for the 2019 running of this annual event, all in pursuit of the title of Ultimate Street Car. With a win here you get an invite to the Optima Ultimate Street Car Invitational in Las Vegas following the SEMA show. This is an event that people spend lots of time, money, and energy trying to get to each year and winning an invite is not easy. Not easy by a long shot. The level of talent and skill these drivers have is amazing, and the cars themselves just get more and more capable each year. This is what road racing, autocross, and speed stop have become.
