(Photos by David Whealon) – You know when the boys and girls at GALOT Motorsports Park throw a monster truck party it is going to be a good one, right? That was the case with the recent Monster Truck Throwdown at the cool track in North Carolina. Adults and kids alike showed up to see some of the best trucks in the country race, freestyle, and generally cause the kind of awesome automotive destruction that we love to see!

The facility’s double wide pulling arena is a perfect place for a monster truck show as it gives plenty of room for obstacles and for the competitors to get up to speed and do wacky stuff like flips and jumps that even motocross riders are impressed with.

We have been showing some classic monster truck stuff later and while we love those old lumbering beasts it is tough to not love the high flying antics of today’s equipment.
