It’s a Monday photo extravaganza around here after an action-packed weekend of events all over the country. Cruisin’ Grand has been on hold for quite some time because of COVID, but thankfully it is back and that means hot rods in downtown Escondido for a summer cruise night like only SoCal can do. Escondido is a historic SoCal town that is perfect for parking hot rods, walking the streets, and grabbing some food and drink. It’s the kind of place where you’ll find hot rods, customs, muscle cars, trucks and more. We’ve got all kinds of photos thanks to Wes Allison, and we’ll be running galleries for the next couple days to share what was there.

Here’s the info from Cruisin’ Grand:

Cruisin’ Grand will kick off on Friday, June 18, from 4 – 9 p.m. and run every Friday night until September 24. All of your favorites will return including live music, DJs, kettle corn, and of course, the best display of pre-1974 hotrods in the country!

Something a little different this year is the closure of additional streets to allow enough room for street-side dining and retail as well as plenty of space to display the vehicles and allow for spectators. Each Friday, Grand Avenue will be closed from Escondido Blvd. to Ivy St. and the side streets (Maple St., Broadway, Kalmia, and Juniper) from Second Ave. to Valley Parkway.

This event is open to pre-1974 vintage, antique, hotrods, and muscle cars. Visit cruisingrand.net for additional details.
