2016 Good Vibrations March Meet Coverage: Pit Thrash Photos and Cool Cars In The Famoso Grove

The 2016 Good Vibrations March Meet is more than just a drag race. There’s a bunch of great stuff going on all around the facility. Of course lots of fans like to check out the action in the pits as teams thrash on the nitro powered cars and frankly every other car as well. Some of the neatest stuff to see are the cars on display in the famed Famoso Grove. This shaded area is filled with trees that have been dedicated to some of the biggest and best names in the sport of drag racing. The hot rods, vintage race cars, and customs that park there each day add a really cool element to the entire event and it is one of our first and most favorite things to check out.

Here’s the scene on Thursday that was happening in the pits and in the grove!

Billet heads, Racepack data loggers, blower blankets- just like they did in the 60’s. I really want to like nostalgia drag racing, but it really needs to look like what they used to do, not just a few small limitations slapped on today’s top fuel class.

is there a way to get a picture of my husbands car if I supply you the pertinent information? He runs Hot Rod #378 1965 mustang with a blower and no hood. it’s the ugly maroon color. Id love to surprise him with a professional picture. In past years there’s been 1 but this year I am not finding it. Thank you so uch for all you do to cover the March Meet!!
