2017 NHRA Dutch Classic Coverage: A Final Blast Of Wheels Up Stock Eliminator Action

(Photos by Joe Grippo) – Big thanks to our man Joe Grippo for blasting these photos a little while back at the 2017 NHRA Dutch Classic, held at Pennsylvania’s Maple Grove Raceway. The Dutch Classic is an enduing part of the NHRA sportsman drag racing scene in the Northeast, having been run for decades on end as the closing stanza of the season. Normally the weather is cold and the event can be counted to produce come breathtaking performance numbers, especially out of cars like the Factory Stock Showdown competitors. This year things were a little warmer so the racing was killer but the mineshaft conditions were not there to take advantage of.

We love legacy races like this and we’re thankful to bring you the action here. We love NHRA stock eliminator competition and this event draws out the best of what many would argue is the biggest hotbed of stock eliminator racing in the USA!
