Jack Beckman is hauling ass! With multiple records in the past couple events, everyone expects Jack Beckman to be a force to be reckoned with, but will this be yet another record-breaking weekend! In qualifying, where the top 9 qualifiers are already in the 3-second range, Beckman has already eclipsed both his own ET record but also Courtney Force’s MPH record speed with a 3.90 at 325.69 mph! That makes him the quickest and fastest funny car in NHRA 1000 ft drag racing history. Wow!

I just can’t get excited about 1000′ drag racing records. But perhaps I’m no longer the customer the NHRA wants anyway.
Not cool………… Can we PLEASE have a full length track again…….. This is disrespectful to the pioneers of drag racing.
