This weekend marks the first NHRA National event on the 4 new lanes at the Strip at Las Vegas Motor Speedway and the action has already been hot and heavy, just like you would expect from an event in Las Vegas. If you weren’t watching today, here is the first round top qualifiers from the three professional categories. Antron Brown had to go two rounds to find the top spot in Top Fuel, but did so in fine fashion. He is currently second in points overall and chasing his first No. 1 qualifier on the season. Defending Funny Car world champion Robert Hight’s first pass sent him to the top of the category. He is seeking his first No. 1 qualifier of the season. Greg Anderson’s first qualifying pass of the day in Pro Stock stood strong for both sessions. He is looking for his second consecutive and 95th career No. 1 qualifying position.
