Ready. Set. Launch. Tony Stewart’s 300 mph Internship Officially Starts Right Here

The number of racers who have driven in NASCAR, Indy Car, and NHRA is a limited but cool group and the latest to join that group is Tony Stewart. When he announced he would be coming NHRA Top Fuel drag racing in 2021, the world was a bit shocked. They shouldn’t have been though, as he and Leah Pruett had been dating for a while and the bug was planted. It only figures that a couple like this would want to try out each others hot rods, so who knows how long it will be before Leah is sitting behind the wheel of a cup car or IndyCar. The two got engaged in March and Tony had been making test hits and learning about Top Fuel during the fall of 2020. He’s got a pretty illustrious racing career, but will all that be enough to prepare him for 300 mph Top Fuel runs?

Tony attended Frank Hawley’s drag racing school in 2020 to get a good baseline down for doing the right things behind the wheel, but an alcohol car is quite a bit different than a fuel car and he’ll definitely tell you that now that he’s experienced both. But if there is something we know about Smoke it is the fact that he is as competitive as they come and he’s going to want to be the best he can be if he’s going to get behind the wheel.

Here is Part 1 of his 300 mph Internship. Watch.

What Tony and Leah do in their own time is their business.

Darrel Helps,, You just showed what a class act you are not. Known facts, When you get in a wreck in a Race car, you do not get out of the race car. and walk out into the race area. Also operating any vehicle under the influence, of a illegal substance. is not a good idea, let alone a race car, But let blame others for this issue..
