When a car is as famous as Shawn Ellington’s Murder Nova, people know it at a glance. And although Shawn’s “New” Murder Nova is now a couple years old, it looks very similar to the “OG” Murder Nova so it is very easy for folks to recognize it at a glance. The flat black “murdered out” look became incredibly popular because of this car, so everyone knows it if they see the trademark flat black paint. But what if the Murder Nova was painted some other color? Would anyone recognize it if it turned up at a race painted shiny red? I don’t think so. So what could possibly make Shawn change the look? And what color do you think he went with?

I imagine always being asked which car was at an event, the OG or the New car, was probably getting old. And with the changes on the show, the changes in No Prep Kings rules, etc. the new Murder Nova will be focused on NPK races in 2021. So why not mix it up a bit?
