This Big Block, 4-Speed, Bench Seat, Dog Dish Hubcap Equipped 1971 Nova Speaks To Me

Unfortunately what it is saying is HA HA HA you can’t afford me. But if I could, this is the kind of car I would love to drive on a regular basis. The fact that I would have to put rear tires on it at least three or four times per year is of no concern to me. You know you can feel it too. This thing is the wrong color for me usually, but something about it just feels right here. The bench seat just might be my favorite thing, especially when combined with the 4-speed. It doesn’t say which Muncie is in it, but we’ll assume it is an M20 which is the wide ratio trans and is PERFECT with a big block. The torque makes the wide ratio splits work perfect. That 10 bolt wouldn’t last long if it was mine because I’m a 12 bolt hoarder, but it will work until it doesn’t. The good news is that with the right tires it will never hook and therefore never hurt itself. Man this makes me dream about putting a big block in my Camaro.

And the manual steering, power brakes, no AC, and dog dish hubcaps make me drool.

Here’s the info from the seller:

Chad, you picked a winner here, a few hidden tweaks (chassis connectors, Cal-Tracs, 7″ rear rims with drag radials, 12 bolt) it would be ready to rock the fan boy (ricer) world. I’ve had those dog dish hubcaps on several Chevys, instant no respect (really like them). Yes, put a BBC in your Camaro and roll-on!

You want this car as a daily driver Chad? You must have arms like Popeye! A BB Nova with no power steering!

Lose the steering wheel, that’s about it. Love this car. And… I’ll take any Nova over any Toycommoda any day.

Had two different ’70 SS Novas, the first a numbers matching 350/4spd., the other a had retrofitted 454/TH400. Both were a blast to drive, love those cars.
