Measure, cut, notch, fit, notch, tweak, repeat, repeat, repeat, repeat, repeat, repeat… You get the picture. Right now Alex is in tubing hell as the custom tube chassis comes together in her new 1955 Chevrolet project. It’s the story of every tube chassis build in history and keeping your sanity during this part of the build is sometimes tough. With that said, seeing tubing come together really is a special part of the project as this is the foundation for everything else that will happen in the car. It’s going to be fun to see this whole car come together because not only will this twin turbo terror be a hauler, but it will also have great character, which we like.

Besides tubing, you’ll also see Alex and Dennis design their front and rear 4-link brackets from scratch. Because Alex has a CAD design background for their CNC machine, she can draw up these brackets on her system before sending them to SendCutSend.com where they will be laser cut and then shipped out to them for installation. Should be cool!

In addition, there is some really complicated notching and tube placement going on in this video. These floor bars are not easy with multiple angles and junctions happening in one place. Watch as Alex explains the process. You’ll dig it.
