Okay so the intercooler took a bit longer to make than 15 minutes, but the video is certainly that short and possibly some of the coolest timelapse fabrication footage we have seen in quite some time. One thing is for sure, this one comes out looking amazing, which would make it ultra hard for us to want to hide that thing in an engine bay instead of showing it off. Anything fabricated this well should be shown off. It takes real skill to make something like this, but the skills are something anyone can learn. Mastering them might be another things, but regardless you’ll have fun making stuff for yourself.

Taking two bare cores and connecting them so as to make one large core is pretty standard stuff for intercooler manufacturers. Boxing in the ends to make it an air to air intercooler is also pretty standard. But doing so this nicely is a skill that requires that oh so important practice. We know that making an intercooler isn’t going to be for everyone. And we know that most people won’t attain the skill level to do a job this nice. But even if you don’t, then watching this video will at least give you the knowledge to know what you are looking at when it comes time to buy your own intercooler for your next project.

There are tons of suppliers, some better than others, but overall it is amazing what you can get from the aftermarket for the money.
