Booth-Arons Racing Enterprises Assets Up For Auction – From The Mundane To The Awesome For Sale

Booth-Arons Racing Enterprises Assets Up For Auction – From The Mundane To The Awesome For Sale

Wally Booth and Dick Arons will stand the test of drag racing history going down as two of the best and brightest to ever apply their minds of building high performance engines. Their work in the early and then formative days of pro stock is the stuff of legend and it can be easily argued that they were a very close second to only Grumpy Jenkins through the 1970s when it came to building killer Chevrolet pro stock power. But talking about Chevrolet ignores the thing that so many people remember them for and that is the AMC pro stock program that they headed up, developed, and went toe to toe against the greatest in the sport with…and won.

Countless match race wins, five NHRA national event wins, and they did it all on a technological island with only themselves really to rely on developing the engines. This was long before the days of people CNC machining cool aftermarket parts and rapid prototyping. Nope, Wally Booth and Dick Arons were brilliant enough to take parts and pieces that looked completely outmatched and make them run with the best!

As all good things come to an end, so is the Boot-Arons Racing Enterprises legacy of engine building. The entire assets of their company are for sale. Cars, parts, the engine dyno that they used for years, lots of machining equipment, some cool wheels, blocks, cranks, connecting rods, and other stuff, this is a really cool auction to look through.

If you are looking for a complete engine, you NEED to get in on this. There are like four days left and few people have bid on anything. Killer motors in here which are sitting at a few hundred bucks! Or if you are making pennies bleed like us, just cruise through the listings and check out neat things. We want the sign. Bad.

I have to agree on the sign, would look awesome in my garage! Too bad there aren’t any special AMC PS parts at the auction.

Let it be known Wally and Dick haven’t had their hands in day to day operations of the named business in Years. They have no part in any of this auction or anything being sold in said auction. There is a reason why the company went out of business and it is the current owners lack of knowledge, experience and character. A sad day in the history of drag racing yes. Shortly after my fathers departure is when the business finally tanked. but buyer beware!
